Biomedical Technician Certificate

(31 credits)

Program Purpose: This one-year program, offered in partnership with Anoka-Ramsey Community College, prepares students for entry-level positions in the biomedical device and product industry. Graduates will work in manufacturing, product development and testing. Many of the courses transfer to four-year institutions. Classes include specific biomedical coursework, as well as writing, statistics, and a field experience with a biomedical company. For additional information about biomedical programs visit the Anoka-Ramsey Community College web site at www.AnokaRamsey.edu.

Program Admission: Inver Hills students also must apply for admission to one of the Biomedical (BMED) Programs (degree or certificate) through Anoka-Ramsey, which grants the degree or certificate. Submit the Application for Biomedical Programs to the Admissions and Records Office. The BMED Program Core courses are only offered through Anoka-Ramsey; classes will be held at Inver Hills. All other courses are offered by Inver Hills. Some students may need preparatory courses in the areas of English or mathematics. Courses numbered below 1000 will not apply to the degree.

A cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 or higher is required for certificate completion. Anoka-Ramsey grants the certificate.
