Admission Steps

1. Complete the online application and pay the $20 application fee.
2. Submit your high school transcript or GED certificate if you have graduated within the past 5 years.
3. Complete the Inver Hills Assessments in Math and English.
4. Receive an acceptance letter in the mail providing instructions on completing the online orientation.
5. Complete the online orientation and sign up for a campus advising and registration session.

Important Info and Programs for Adult Students

Alliss Grant Eligibility

The Alliss Opportunity grant is an opportunity to help adults enroll in a course at Inver Hills. The grant provides payment of tuition and textbooks for one course (up to five credits). To be eligible:

• You must be a Minnesota resident.
• Have been out of high school for at least seven years.
• Enrolling in college for the first time or have not taken a college course for at least seven years.
• Have not earned a bachelor's degree.
• Enroll in a course that is transferable and part of an A.A., A.S., A.A.S. or a pre-requisite for a degree program.

Consider Adult Success through Accelerated Programs (ASAP) the program designed for adults who want to earn a two-year college degree at an accelerated, flexible and independent pace. ASAP provides personalized educational planning, accelerated 8-week courses meeting once per week and credit for prior learning.

 

Flexible Course Options

Inver Hills has a variety of flexible scheduling options for students. Inver Hills has a variety of online, evening, Saturday and accelerated courses. Our schedule of classes allows you to search according to your need.

Child Care Center
