Inver Hills Community College Admissions fosters a student centered approach to the proactive and personal recruitment of students from diverse experiences and backgrounds. Our helpful and collaborative team strives to create an accessible college experience for all.
Whether you're entering college from high school, transferring from another school, or entering college as a working adult, Inver Hills has options available for you. At Inver Hills, there is a diverse group of students that choose to study in a variety of programs. We have over 5,000 students each semester, with an average age of 23. 35% of our students are between the ages of 18-21.
71% of our students are from underrepresented populations and 38% of full-time students (12 credits or more) are first-generation college students. Students of color represent 21% of our students. Our male to female ratio is 39:61 respectively.

Inver Hills Community College is a college designed with our students in mind. We have many student services and activities available on campus in our College Center, Library Building, Activities Building, and Fine Arts Building. Our campus, founded in 1970, has been described as one of the most beautiful two-year campuses in the metro area. We have recently undergone renovations to our College Center and Fine Arts Building, along with the construction of Heritage Hall, a science-oriented building with excellent labs and classroom space.

If you're a busy adult, live far from campus, or need to fit in classes around your work schedule, you'll be happy to hear that Inver has a very flexible class schedule. This past year, we've actually had nearly 25% of our classes online, and many more are offered during night or weekend sessions. Our ASAP program (Adult Success through Accelerated Programs) offers accelerated courses at a variety of locations to better assist our adult learners.
