Course Descriptions


INFS 1000  Information Literacy and Research Skills

2 cr

Introduces students to information skills, including understanding how information and knowledge is produced and organized within a societal context, creating strategies for finding information, using print and electronic sources to locate information, evaluating information found, and issues related to intellectual freedom and copyright. Intended for anyone interested in our "Information Society". Prereq: Placement in ENG 1108 or satisfactory completion of ENG 1108 prerequisite.
