1. Find your Course ID numbers
Course IDs are listed on the college web site. At the home page, click on "Schedule of classes" and select the subject you want. The course ID will be the first six numbers you'll see on the left side of the page (all course IDs begin with zero).
2. Go to the registration website and log-in screen.
On the home page, go to the icon named "Online Inver Hills" and click on On-line Services (log in) You are now at the IHCC Login screen.
3. Enter your eight-digit IHCC student ID number.
NOTE: This is NOT your Social Security number. Your IHCC Student ID number is printed on your admissions letter, on your Inver Hills campus card, and on any registration confirmation you have received. You also can find your IHCC Student ID number by clicking on the link at the left side of the log-in screen that says "Look up ID."
4. Enter your six-digit PIN
If you have not created a PIN (personal identification number) previously, your initial PIN is your six-digit birth date in the YYMMDD format. For example, if your birth date is Feb. 7, 1973, your PIN is 730207. If we do not have your birth date as part of your student record, your PIN is initially set to the last six digits of your Social Security number. For security purposes, you will be prompted to change your PIN to a new six-digit number the first time you register. Write down and retain your new PIN because you will need it the next time you register.
5. Click on Courses & Registration and then change to the correct term if necessary.
6. Click the "Quick Add (Register)" button.
7. Enter the course ID(s)
Fill in the 6-digit course ID for each class you want in the course ID column. Note: Variable credits do not need to be entered unless the number of credits is optional.
8. Click the "Register Now" button.
9. Enter your PIN
At the Verify PIN screen, enter your PIN and click on the "Process request" button. After a few moments, you will get a list of the classes for which you have successfully registered as well as messages about any attempted registrations that failed. Print this page for your records (click once on your courses before you print the page).
10. Check your tuition statement and pay your bill.
To view the amount of tuition you owe or to pay your bill, click on "Bills and Payment" on the left side of the screen. On the left side of the screen, you can either select "Balance Due by Term," "Full Account Detail," or "Pay Online."
11. Log-out to complete your registration session.
