Foundation Overview

We at Inver Hills are extremely appreciative of our dedicated Foundation Board members (a PDF document), individuals from the community and the college who help us develop opportunities for students and who represent the college as ambassadors in the community. The board meets monthly and is guided by officers that include the president, secretary, past president and treasurer as well as standing committees for investments, marketing, and other functions. Gail Morrison, the college's Director of Institutional Advancement, serves as the foundation's executive director.

The Inver Hills Community College Foundation oversees many outreach and fund-raising opportunities that support the college and help connect it to the community, including...

• Building Brighter Futures Community Fundraiser: This annual event permits us to demonstrate the significant impact that Inver Hills has on so many lives and the vital role the college plays in the community.
• Forrest Glewwe Golf Classic: One of the most popular and successful fund-raising events in the area is now in its 10th year. Last year, over $40,000 was raised through tournament participation fees and live and silent auction proceeds. For more information, including registration, visit the Golf Classic pages.

Alumni Association and alumni development

The Alumni Association formed in 2004 to help re-connect former students with the college, build opportunities for networking, and assist current students. A variety of activities are scheduled or in the planning stages...visit Alumni Connection for more information.

Foundation Mission

The Inver Hills Community College Foundation builds resources and a community network to enhance educational excellence.

The purpose of the Inver Hills Community College Foundation is:

• To promote Inver Hills Community College by building partnerships with area high schools, businesses and industry, community organizations, and government agencies.
• To build the capacity to secure financial and other resources that further the mission of the college.
• To assist students, faculty and staff seeking educational excellence.
