Admission to Inver Hills Community College is granted without regard to race, creed, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.
The only general admission requirement for acceptance into the college is that you must be a high school graduate or have earned a G.E.D. Inver Hills does not require entrance exams such as the ACT or SAT (although you may have scores sent to Inver Hills).
However, certain programs at Inver Hills require that you have prerequisite course work, meet specific academic criteria for acceptance, complete additional application steps, or meet some other designated qualifications. To apply for one of the following special programs, you will need to follow the appropriate steps and complete additional application forms.

NOTE: Admission and registration forms request that you provide private information as defined under state and federal law; see the related Data Privacy Notice (Tennessen warning) for an explanation of this request and the policy for use of such information.

What does it mean to be admitted or accepted to the college?
You must apply and be accepted to establish your student record and to register for and attend courses.
However, being admitted to the college does not automatically qualify every student for all college-level courses. Some courses have prerequisites or other special requirements that help ensure students they are academically ready for the kind of work that will be expected in that class. The application process includes assessment testing and/or transcript review to determine which courses you may register for.
