Track Your Progress

The Degree Audit Report System (DARS) is one of the primary tools that will help you keep track of the progress you are making in completing your program. It's important that you become familiar with DARS because it tracks what classes you have taken, which ones are in process and what you have remaining. For those of you transferring credits to Inver Hills, DARS also includes a listing of the courses that were accepted in transfer and how those classes fit into your IHCC program.

You can more efficiently complete your educational program by carefully keeping track of your progress and also completing a plan for future courses. It's recommended that you work with an Inver Hills counselor as you track your progress and plan for future courses. Before meeting with a counselor, it's a great idea to review your degree requirements and then develop your tentative semester by semester plan. This will help to make your counseling appointment much more productive!

If you have changed your program since the time of your application you'll want to make sure you officially change your program with the office of Enrollment Services. This will ensure that your DARS is tracking the progress towards your intended degree. You can update your major in person at the Enrollment Services Office or online through the Update my Major form (requires log-in to your student record).
