Money Matters - Financial Aid

A college education is an investment in your future. Such an investment requires a significant amount of time, effort and of course money. The primary resource for most students is The Federal Student Aid Program, the nation's largest source of student aid. This need-based program is for part-time as well as full time students. See if you qualify for:

  • Grants (money you would not need to repay)
  • Work Study (On Campus Employment)
  • Loans (typically repaid after completing your education)

It's free!

That's right - the application is free! The Inver Hills Financial Aid webpage will connect you to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as other important links. Sites charging a fee are not the official FAFSA webpage!

After you've successfully applied for Financial Aid, you will receive an Award Letter from the Inver Hills Financial Aid Office. This letter will indicate your eligibility for aid (grants, loans and/or work study). Friendly staff at the Office of Financial Aid can assist you with questions about financial aid application and processing. Visit their office on the second floor of the College Center Building or call 651-450-3518.

Applying for Financial Aid is a process and it is therefore recommended that you apply several months before your first semester at Inver Hills. If you haven't applied yet, then put that on the top of your To Do List!

Non-Need Based Aid

There are several loan programs available to students at almost any income level. Student must apply for need-based financial aid before applying for these special programs. For more information inquire with Financial Aid directly.
