PACE (Preparing to Achieve a College Education)
What is PACE?
PACE offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take free college courses and earn free college credits!
PACE includes:

- Free tuition, fees and books
- Up to 20 credits
- Courses and academic support that prepare students for college
- A supportive atmosphere where students work together to achieve their academic goals
- Instruction in college study strategies, ACT preparation, and career exploration
- College visits
- Experiential Learning
When are the classes?
- During the Academic Year: Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- During the Summer (6 weeks): Mon.,Tues.,Weds. from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Who is eligible?
- Students who will be juniors (11th grade) in the next academic year
- Dedicated students determined to earn a college education
What classes do students take?
PACE focuses on core curriculum courses such as:

- Strategies for College Success
- Sociology
- Interpersonal Communication
- Public Speaking
- History of Rock and Roll
- Lifespan Psychology
- Introduction to Film
PACE Requirements
- Take the assessment test
- Submit the application form by April 1st
- Two-year commitment
- Have dependable transportation (Free transportation provided for selected high schools, ask if it's offered at yours!)
How do I apply for PACE?
Submit the required application materials via mail (see below) by the priority deadline, April 1st. Completed PACE applications will be reviewed after the priority deadline and students will be notified of their acceptance as soon as possible. Applications received after April 1st will be reviewed if space is still available in the program.
