Inver Hills President-elect Tim Wynes

Members of the Inver Hills community had an opportunity to meet their president-elect on Wednesday as Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Trustee Christine Rice introduced Tim Wynes to be the successor of Cheryl Frank and the next President of Inver Hills Community College. Mr. Wynes will begin his term on July 1, 2010, taking the reigns from Dr. Frank who is retiring after a distinguished 40-year career in education and health care.

 

Also on hand to address the gathering and welcome President-elect Wynes was Chancellor James H. McCormick, and Vice Chancellor, Human Resources Lori Lamb. Many other dignitaries were present to welcome Mr. Wynes including members of the state legislature, officials from local and county government, fellow college administrators, and community leaders.

In his brief remarks, president-elect Wynes thanked the members of the search committee and commented on the rigor behind the selection process."I greatly appreciate this opportunity to be the president of Inver Hills Community College. I am thrilled to be able to serve the system, and like my predecessor, I will be a strong advocate for this fine college."
