Visiting or New Faculty/Staff
Welcome to SSD! This is the page on which to find information and help if you are a faculty or staff member at Inver Hills, or a visitor from another school or a professional workplace. See the right-hand column for information about this section. à
(Simply find
the date for the newest SSD.
[Day, Month Date] is Student
Success Day (SSD).
This day offers
you time to "learn how to learn"--to find new strategies to
improving your college and
professional success. No
regular on-campus classes are held 8 am-7 pm.
(Accelerated, off campus, and
online courses are held as usual; evening classes don't start until 7 pm.)
Your teachers may, instead, hold individual or small-group meetings
with you or ask you to attend any
of over 60 one-hour sessions, hear a nationally-known motivational
speaker, and eat free food.
Over 1000 students attend SSD each term, and 80% of
them rate it good to excellent. Ask your teachers
what they are planning for you on
this useful, practical day. For more information, go to www.inverhills.edu/ssd.
You also may attend "SSD Online" at
www.inverhills.edu/ssd/OnlineSessions.htm.
