Emergency Medical Services Student Association (EMSSA)
The EMSSA is a volunteer student organization dedicated to providing service and community education regarding Emergency Medical Services. Our members offer CPR classes and education to the public about the emergency medical services profession. We provide first aid stand-by services for sporting events and community events. The purpose of the Engineering Community is to promote technical creativity amongst students, provide professional networking opportunities for students, and raise awareness about the important role of engineers on campus and in the community. An internationally recognized honor society for two-year college students. Members organize a wide variety of activities and compete on local and national levels, and many are eligible for additional scholarship assistance at their transfer schools. Students must meet GPA requirements to join.
The Inver Hills Phi Theta Kappa chapter is very active and has been regionally and nationally recognized. Our members have competed for and won national scholarships and have been named as USA Today All-Minnesota Scholars.

Student Activities Budgeting Committee (SABC)
Students participating in the Student Activities Budgeting Committee are responsible for managing an annual budgeting process derived from Student Activity Fees. These fees are assessed to each student that attends Inver Hills (collected as part of your tuition/fees for each credit you're registered for). The SABC helps decide what your student monies will fund at Inver Hills. They decide on budget allocations for student clubs as well as special requests for college events and celebrations.

These students assist the college with recruitment, retention and public relations. Ambassadors reach out to prospective and current students to make them aware of the programs and services we have available. Ambassadors promote student activities and campus involvement; give campus tours and assist faculty and staff with campus events.

EMS Memorial Bike Ride (New York to Virginia)
VIBE and the department of Human Services have collaborated to send students to New Orleans to help in the rebuilding of the city. You can take it for credit or as a student activity. This past year a group of 30 students, faculty and staff went to New Orleans and stayed and worked with Hands On New Orleans. TV Production "Inside Inver Hills"
Inver Hills regularly produces a ½-hour news program called 'Inside Inver Hills' for Northern Dakota County Cable (Town Square Television). Students can volunteer to take part in productions as camera operators, sound technicians, on-air anchors, or studio technicians. Students can also sign up for a class in television production under 'Journalism' in the course offerings.
