There are multiple levels of algebra in the math curriculum at most public two-year and four-year colleges including pre-algebra (IHCC - Math 0092), introductory algebra (IHCC - Math 0094), intermediate algebra (IHCC - Math 0096 or 0099) and college algebra (IHCC - Math 1118). We also have courses that combine two of these courses in one semester. Math 93 combines pre-algebra and introductory algebra and Math 98 combines introductory and intermediate algebra. Alignment of topics within courses varies across colleges. We found that some topics listed on websites in elementary or introductory algebra were actually taught in intermediate algebra courses at IHCC while some intermediate algebra topics taught at IHCC were found in introductory algebra content on some websites. We suggest that you search by your text section topic or section objective and then look for exercises that are similar to the homework in your textbook. It is important to select content online that is appropriate for your level of algebra so that you do not get confused. If you find a helpful website, we encourage you to share the Internet address with your instructor. This list of links will be updated as new links are recommended and approved.
