Adult Success through Accelerated Programs

Adult Success through Accelerated Programs (ASAP) at Inver Hills offers adult students accelerated options for meeting educational and professional goals by offering the following:

• Personalized educational planning
• Accelerated 8-week courses meeting once per week
• Credit for prior learning

This nationally recognized program is the only of its kind among local community colleges, and applies to all degree programs and most certificates offered at Inver Hills.

The program begins with a 3-credit educational planning class that includes doing research on careers and degree options available at Inver Hills and other colleges so you can make the bridge between choosing a career and degree program.

ASAP brings college to you in your community. Our evening classes are held in Apple Valley, Eagan, two locations in Burnsville and St. Paul, along with Saturday offerings on campus.

Earn College Credit For Knowledge and Skills You Already Have

Inver Hills is a leader in providing adult learners with a flexible, innovative approach to earning credit towards their degree called credit for prior learning (CPL).

This committment to adult learners has earned Inver Hills the distinction of being one of the only two-year colleges in the nation to be designated an Adult Learning Focused Institution by The Council for Adult Experiential Learning.

And to strengthen the transferability of CPL credits a formal process, called a prior learning assessment, is completed to match student learnings to actual courses offered at Inver Hills. Credits earned though prior learning assessment are subject to a discounted fee of $75 per credit.
