Virtual, Web-Based Sessions

We offer weekly campus visits that last about an hour. Here's what you'll accomplish during your visit:

  • Learn about the academic programs we offer
  • Get information about the application process
  • Get information about financial aid

Web-based technology is necessary for these events, ideally being a computer with a web-camera and/or audiovisual means. Zoom is also available as a free app for your phone (ZOOM cloud meeting ). Please be ready 5 to 10 minutes in advance of the session time. Session details will be sent via email at the address you provide in registration.

Please remember that if you cannot find a session that fits your schedule, just call or email us for other available options to talk with an Admissions Advisor.

Sessions relate to specific programs (such as nursing, paralegal, and more) or lived experiences (adult learners, general questions, and otherwise): we hope we meet your needs and questions!

What to Expect for Spring Information Sessions

This session is designed for current and prospective students considering Inver Hills for the spring semester, but who have questions about how COVID-19 will impact their experience. Inver Hills has worked hard to plan for a spring semester that allows our students to meet their educational goals while minimizing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. In this session, you will learn more about the current state of campus availability, how spring courses will be offered, and how to access student services. A Question & Answer session will also be available.

While classes this spring may look a little different than in the past, we are committed to providing a rich learning experience while keeping everyone safe. Learn more about course delivery, the new COVID self-assessment, staying healthy before the semester and more.

Individual Information Meeting

We are available to meet with you individually via a phone or web-based virtual appointment if you would prefer to discuss our programs and learn about our admissions process in a more personalized manner. A member of our admissions staff will assist you one on one.

Request A Virtual Visit

In addition to our visit slate that recurs throughout the year, the Admissions Office is excited to provide additional virtual options for your group in lieu of a "traditional on-campus visit". To request a virtual visit, please fill out the following web-form so that we can identify your needs and requests. We ask that whomever fills out the form is also a participant of the 'virtual visit', and that the request is made at least 2 weeks in advance. Once your form has been submitted, you will hear back from an Admissions' office team member within two business days to set specifics and schedule. We look forward to working with you and your group!

Please note Inver Hills Community College utilizes Zoom for all virtual interactions. If you cannot use Zoom, regardless of the reason, please indicate so in the 'comments' section of the request form, and we will discuss alternative options with you.

Parking

Parking is available on campus for students, staff members and visitors. You do not need a special permit. You may park in any parking space not marked as reserved.
