ASAP is what we call our programs that have been identified as the most flexible and convenient for nontraditional adult learners. Whether you are looking to transfer to a four-year intuition or simply finish an Associates degree for a career change or promotion, you will have the opportunity to earn a college degree at an accelerated, flexible and independent pace. All while potentially getting college credit for the knowledge and skills you've gained through your work and life experiences. ASAP uses Prior Learning Assessments (PLA's) and other credit for prior learning tools to match your know-how with college courses, saving you money as well as time in the classroom.
Our Prior Learning Assessments require students to demonstrate their life experience and college-level learning. PLA’s match specific courses within a student's degree program. The determination on the level of credit to be granted based on the outcomes of the assessment is in accordance with Minnesota State policies and the Council of Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL).
Your education is one of the biggest concerns as you consider starting or returning to college. Here at Inver Hills, we take this concern seriously. We want to work with you to help you achieve your educational goals, which is why our tuition rates are some of the lowest in our state. As you can see below, attending Inver can help you save thousands of dollars on a high-quality education. We will also work with you to determine how to access financial aid to help cover the cost of your tuition. The cost of Prior Learning Assessment that is not a national standardized test is $100 per credit.
