Register for Community-Based Learning

Five Easy Steps!

  1. Locate Community Partner from the "Community Partner Sites" link

    • If your desired community partner is not listed, you must request approval from your instructor.
  2. Contact or apply to your desired Community Partner

    • Follow how to apply per the community partner or their online process
    • Inform the Community Partner you are an Inver Hills student and the number of hours you need to complete
  3. Register Here!

    • Every student must register in order to participate in CBL!
    • Registration deadlines: Fall Semester — before October 1st & Spring Semester — before February 16th
    • Education Students Only - Register here for field experience
  4. Complete Learning Contract

    • Print the Learning Contract
    • Review with your supervisor at your CBL site
    • You and your CBL site supervisor need to sign and turn it in to your instructor
  5. Time log: Complete Your Time Log

    • Signature from site supervisor and approval from faculty is required
    • Please check your syllabus for due date or due before the last day of the course
