Graduation & Commencement

Commencement

Minnesota State has canceled all spring commencement ceremonies including Inver Hills Community College's May 14th ceremony. This was not an easy decision but one made to protect the health and safety of our graduates, their families, as well as, staff and faculty.

It's the best day of the year for our campus community, and we deeply regret that we won't be able to celebrate with you on May 14th.

You’ve worked hard to complete your program, and we still need you to apply for graduation to receive your diploma.

Application for Graduation

Apply for Graduation

Even though the commencement ceremony has been canceled, students who will be finishing the requirements for their award need to apply for graduation.

Part of the Graduate Application is to complete our Graduate Follow Up Survey. Please complete this survey to report your plans for after graduation. If you have questions about the survey or are looking for assistance in finding employment in your field, contact the Center for Career Development and Community-Based Learning for assistance.

Transcripts

Within one month after the semester ends, your graduation application will be processed to make certain you have completed your degree requirements. If you have fulfilled all requirements, your degree completion will be posted to your transcript and you will receive an email confirming completion of your degree. Your unofficial transcript showing your degree completion can be access through e-services. If you need an official transcript showing completion of your degree, visit the transcript request page. Employers and other outside agencies can verify degree completion through the National Student Clearinghouse.

Diplomas

When you have completed your requirements, the Enrollment Center will order your diploma. You should receive your diploma in the U.S. Mail within 12 weeks after your last semester.
