Summer Bridge

Returning for summer 2021, TRIO is excited to offer Summer Bridge, a hybrid experience for recent high school grads wanting a smooth and supported start in college. Summer Bridge will include an in-person Outdoor Activity Trip to Osprey Wilds, online workshops and conversations preparing students for college success, and in-person activities on campus so students can meet staff, faculty, and other students and get familiar with campus prior to the start of the fall semester.

The Summer Bridge Outdoor Activity Trip to Osprey Wilds in Sandstone, MN will be three days and two nights from July 26th through July 28th, 2021. In addition, students will meet online or in-person daily from July 29th through August 5th (see application for full schedule details).

Summer Bridge is completely free to students and provides a free one-credit college course (PHED 2201), meals and lodging during the trip, lunch on campus, and the chance to earn a $250 scholarship for spring 2022. To be eligible, students must be recent high school graduates (between May 2019 and July 25th, 2021), enrolled as a degree-seeking student at Inver Hills, eligible for TRIO and applied or accepted, applied for financial aid, and registered for at least 9 credits for fall 2021.
