Our Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Inver Hills Community College Testing and Certification Center to provide high quality testing, test scoring, and instructional assessment services which ascribe to the National College Testing Association Professional Standards and Guidelines. The services provided for student, faculty, staff, campus, community, and business partners will be consistently rendered with an attitude of service that demonstrates value in human relationships, personal excellence, human dignity, diversity, and commitment to lifelong learning.

If you wish to use an approved accommodation for testing in the Testing Center, you must make arrangements with your instructor in advance and have the test sent to the center. You will need your accommodations, e.g., a reader, scribe, private room or extra time, set up with Accessibility Resources in advance.

You can schedule appointments via phone, email or online. Please contact the Testing Center with any questions at 651-450-3650 or

Testing Room Rules

All materials disallowed by the test directions should be left outside the testing room in the center's lockers.

No food or drink is allowed in the testing room (unless medically required and approved prior to testing).

Cheating is prohibited. If you are caught cheating: your test will be confiscated, you will be asked to leave the testing room, and your instructor will be notified.

Notify Testing Center staff if you need to use the restroom; no breaks are allowed (unless medically required and approved prior to testing); phone calls may be made only in the event of an emergency.

If your test has a time limit, you are responsible to watch the time and return the test to Testing Center staff on schedule.
