Health, wellness & fitness

Inver Hills offers students a variety of ways to prioritize their health, wellness and fitness. Student fees provide access to facilities in the Activities Building along with club sports.


  • Fitness Center – Cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill, stationary bikes, etc.) and strength equipment
  • Weight room – free weights
  • Gym
  • Locker rooms
  • Outdoor open area

Club Sports

Student Life provides plenty of ways to stay fit while playing your favorite sport. Facilities include a huge open outdoor playing area and a beautiful gym.

Club sports offered include:

  • Basketball
  • Flag football
  • Futsal

Outdoor Center

Our Outdoor Center program delivers outdoor opportunities that are instructional, recreational, social and service-oriented. Students, faculty and staff of all experience levels are encouraged to participate.

Rental Program

Equipment rentals are on hold during COVID.

We maintain an inventory of outdoor equipment for rent at minimal rates. Equipment is available for use by all students, faculty and staff. Equipment can be checked out on a reservation basis.
