A veteran and military friendly campus

Inver Hills takes pride in serving our students who have made sacrifices for our country. Since 1982, the college has worked to promote strong relationships with our veterans, servicemembers and families to assure their success at Inver Hills Community College. The student population of veterans, servicemembers and families has skyrocketed over the years due to deployments and the Post 9/11 GI Bill.

The college has comprehensive veteran-specific support services, scholarships, networking/employment opportunities, and collaboration with area communities and agencies. The colleges Veteran Services and Counseling Office are available to make sure our student veteran populations have an easier time gaining success in college.

Veterans and service member students make up the single largest constituent group on the Inver Hills campus. Inver Hills has been named a military friendly school since 2010 by various organizations (Victory Media aka GI Jobs), Military Advanced Education and Best for Vets).

In the military, no one is left behind and we consider it our duty to continue that tradition as veteran’s transition back to civilian life. The administration, faculty and staff understand the unique challenges that our military students face and we are here to support them.

Inver Hills Community College offers the best of the small-town feel with all of the resources and support I need as a veteran. Their nationally recognized program includes highly skilled veteran's coordinator, specialized academic counseling, and a very organized and successful student veteran’s organization.
