Travelers Inver Experience

Program Overview

Travelers FoundationThe hallmark of this collaboration is to provide middle and high school students a hands-on classroom learning experience with IHCC students. During the classroom experience, the students will typically listen to part of a real college lecture and then, for the second half of class, participate in a lab with other middle and high school students. These experiences have ranged from cell model building in Exploring Biology to flint knapping in Anthropology, to dissecting sheep brains in Anatomy and Physiology – and many other experiences in between.

The groups coming to campus can also choose to partake in any/all of the following: a campus tour, a college success talk (provided by our outreach/admissions team), and/or a space in the cafeteria to eat lunch/dinner. All of these options help student visitors participate in a full student experience.
