General file printing services are provided through networked black and white laser printers located in computer classrooms, computer-equipped labs, and office areas. Printing services are to be used only for college-related work needs. Using college printing services for non-college related files is a violation of state ethics laws and college policy.
Using Copy Center services to produce multiple copies of documents helps keep the college's overall document production costs as low as possible. Having a document produced on the high-volume Copy Center equipment costs about 1/10th as much as doing the same work on an office laser printer. Employees are encouraged to send the Copy Center their documents electronically to increase efficiency; details are available from the Copy Center.
Printing supplies and maintenance
Toner supplies and printer maintenance are provided by the Technology Services department. Less urgent requests for assistance or service can be made by creating a help desk ticket. Urgent requests can be made by calling Tech Services at x3444.
Paper stocks are maintained by the Copy Center. Support staff usually keep a supply of paper in the general area of a printer.
