Tuition for a full-time student is approximately $5,632 but many students will pay less than that thanks to financial aid and scholarships. Inver Hills students pursuing associate’s degrees benefit from small class sizes, a conveniently located, university-style campus, and one-on-one interaction with faculty.
Whether you plan to use your degree to start a new career or transfer to a four-year college or university, you’ll save thousands of dollars by attending Inver Hills.
Better still, if you complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) and earn a minimum 2.0 GPA in an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from Inver Hills, you are guaranteed admission with junior year status to any one of the seven Minnesota State universities.
Paying for college can be challenging, but you’ll be happy to know you have a wide range of financing options, including financial aid and a payment plan, that can make the process easier and more affordable.
Financial aid has four basic types:
Many students employ a combination of the four to cover the cost of college. Our financial aid experts can help you create a plan that saves you money now and ultimately reduces your student debt.

State Grants help students from low-income and moderate-income families pay for educational expenses at eligible Minnesota colleges or universities—and that includes Inver Hills. The maximum award for 2018-2019 at a public two-year college was just under $7,850; the average award was just under $2,605.
Students wishing to participate in the Minnesota State Grant Program must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the US Department of Education no later than June 30th of the current financial aid award year.

Federal loan resources:
Inver Hills participates in a payment plan that allows students to make monthly payments for tuition, fees and books. Through an agreement with FACTS Tuition Management Company, these payments will be automatically processed each month (either on the 5th or 20th) through the responsible party's bank account.
This is not a loan and there is no interest or finance fee. The only fee to budget payments through FACTS is a non-refundable enrollment fee of $30 per semester. Students who have any scheduling changes and are enrolled in this program will see their payments automatically corrected. An email from FACTS will be sent.
The application process is quick and easy; students can sign up for FACTS through e-Services.
For any questions, email the Enrollment Center or call 651-450-3503.
