Working in a discipline concerned with theory and practice, computer scientists must have the ability to solve problems accurately, creatively, and logically through abstract modeling and objective analysis.

Computers are indispensable tools in civilization’s crucial fields, including business, education, banking, defense, law enforcement, healthcare, engineering, and transportation, not to mention personal use and the entertainment industry.
