“One of the things I like most about geology is that it is all around you,” Jill said, regarding her field of study. “Anywhere you look, you can see some aspect of geology—in your own backyard, in a national or state park, or anywhere in between. After taking a geology course, many students are amazed by the things they may have seen regularly in their life that now are much more intriguing after learning about how they formed or what they are. Geology makes life and travels more interesting!”
In her free time, Jill enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, camping and traveling.
