Spanish

Program Details

The Transfer Pathway A.A. in Spanish gives you a solid foundation in the Spanish language. You’ll complete four courses in the required Spanish curriculum, which includes Beginning Spanish I and II as well as Intermediate Spanish I and II.

You’ll be fully prepared to continue your Spanish studies at a four-year institution on your journey to earn your baccalaureate degree.

Earning your A.A. also means you’ll complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) as well as Health/Physical Education coursework. This gives you the ability to transfer as a junior to one of seven Minnesota State universities.

We also offer a 13-credit Spanish certificate that will bring you to an intermediate level of Spanish proficiency. This certificate is particularly valuable if you’re looking to pursue a career in healthcare, education, sales, hospitality, government, law enforcement, or social work.

Tuition and fees for one year at Inver Hills costs a little less than $5,500. Compare that to $15,000 to $20,000 at a for-profit college, or $40,000 to $50,000+ at a private college or university. You can complete your first two years at Inver Hills getting a topflight, hands-on education from knowledgeable, caring and experienced faculty and then transfer to a four-year school as a junior all while saving thousands of dollars.
