Details for ITC Department Student Support Staff

Duties: ITC Student Support Staff work alongside Department faculty and staff to accomplish specific goals and provide general support with the operations, equipment and facilities of the Department. Student will learn IT support functions and acquire skills in responding to user requests, outfitting end users with the appropriate equipment and resources, maintaining an inventory of IT assets in good working order and performing repairs and upkeep of equipment. Work is closely supervised and conducted with the comfort and safety of users, visitors, students and employees paramount. Examples of Duties: Assembling, moving, mounting hardware. Installing, configuring, securing software. Maintaining and organizing inventory. Diagnosing system faults and, under supervision, initiating repair procedures. Preparing classroom resources at the direction of faculty and staff. Occasional light lifting, moving equipment, use of small hand tools, connecting cables, and wire repair. Variety of hardware and software tasks matched to Student Support Staff knowledge, skills and ability.

Qualifications: Qualifications: We are seeking candidates now for the 18-19 school year with interest or enthusiasm in the field of technology. It is not necessary to have designated a technology degree or program. Must be able to manage multiple projects along with academic coursework and work within timelines, at all times adhering to proper guidelines and procedures. All students are encouraged to inquire and apply. FAFSA must be current and student must be enrolled for current term. Student must qualify for work-study through financial aid.

Work Schedule: The schedule will be arranged balancing the needs of the Department while accommodating classes and activities of the employee.
