Inver Hills Community College utilizes the online job board platform Handshake.

If you would like to share your opportunities with only Inver Hills students and Alumni, please create an account on this Handshake site.

If you would like to share your opportunities with 12 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, please create an account on the Minnesota State Career Hub. An account on Minnesota State Career Hub will post opportunities on the Inver Hills College Central Network account. You do not need two log-ins, if you are wanting to share your opportunities with Inver and other Minnesota State schools.

Please review our Employer Recruiting Guidelines before sharing any postings in order to ensure your positions are a match for our platform.

Handshake requires each employer to create their own account with each school unless the employer is using the CareerHub page. One account grants you access to all of our partner schools who use Handshake. If you create an account with the Inver Hills Handshake page, each account is individually reviewed and approved by a staff member at the Center. Employers can expect an email confirmation in their email, which allows them to log back into Handshake and share their job postings, as well as internships and volunteer opportunities.

The Center for Career Development and Community-Based Learning hosts Employer of the Day. Monday through Thursday, employers are able to table outside of a common space called “The Lounge” located on the first floor of the College Center building. Employers are able to meet and share with students about their positions and company for free.

Prescheduling is required to attend Employer of the Day. Email careerdevelopment@inverhills.edu to schedule your visit.

Now that you're registered, here's what you need to know:

Directions

Our campus is located at: 2500 East 80th Street, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076. Please park in the College Center parking lot. This is after the second stop sign when you pull into our campus area if you are coming from East 80th Street. Parking is free.

Checking In

We would love all of our employers to come to the Center for Career Development and Community-Based Learning to check in before they table. We are located on the 2nd floor of College Center, across the hallway from Counseling and Advising. On occasion, staff is not available when you arrive. We will do our best to check in with you during your visit. If this happens, you can check in at the Counseling and Advising desk or use these directions to find the table.

What To Bring

The only things you have to bring would be a tablecloth as well as any displays you want to have. For example, pamphlets, stickers, pictures, etc.

Timing Request

Employers are welcomed any time between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Please note, the highest trafficked time on campus is between 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. When scheduling this opportunity, we ask that you specify what time you will be present on campus. We advertise the specific time of your visit to our students.

Postings On Campus

lease note: Our posting policy on campus prohibits outside entities to post anything on campus without permission. If you would like to bring material to be hung on campus about your opportunities, we can only accept one poster at a time and it must be approved by our office. Please email it at any time or deliver it when you arrive.
