Student Success Day is a student-centered event featuring a keynote speaker, one-on-one faculty time, and many sessions to help students focus on their college goals.

Virtual Student Success Day

Tuesday, February 23, 2021 9 am - 7 pm. All events are virtual except for the Resource Drive-Thru. Registration is not necessary. Please attend any sessions that you want. All zoom links can be found in the schedule.

Highlights of the day:

These sessions are designed to assist students in attaining their academic goals, as well as helping students grow both personally and professionally.

Keynote Presentation at 10 - 10:55 am

The Bounce-Back Factor: Overcoming Obstacles to Achieve Success

Dr. Jermaine Davis will share practical tips and ideas on how to how to adapt to the uncertainties of changes in life, school, and work. There will be a Question/Answer session with Dr. Davis at 11 am. Learn more about Jermaine Davis, our Keynote Speaker.

FREE Student Resources Drive-Thru at 11:30 am - 1 pm

Drive through the College Center parking lot for free food, flu vaccines, and more! Masks are required and quantities are limited. This event will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.

College Fair at 1 - 3 pm

Speak to transfer representatives from over 35 colleges and universities! Each representative will have their own break out room where you can inquire about academic programs, the application process, and how to transfer successfully. Preview the attending colleges and universities.

Leadership Workshop at 2 - 2:55 pm

Leading with Greatness: Moving from Chaos and Conflict to Communication and Cooperation

Dr. Jermaine Davis will share his latest research on how to use the principles and practices of communication and influence to increase leadership and organizational effectiveness.

Student Club Fair at 4 - 5 pm

Learn more about our student clubs and organizations and meet other students involved on campus!

Keynote Presentation at 6 - 6:55 pm

What Can the Civil Rights Movement Teach Us about TLC: Teamwork, Leadership, and Communication

Dr. Jermaine Davis will discuss pivotal moments of the Civil Rights Movement, as well as demonstrate how the Civil Rights Movement can continue to influence and inspire change in 21st Century America.
