James Kolles started teaching full-time at Inver Hills in 2014. James has an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota and an A.S. in Mathematics from Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

 

James previously served as an adjunct instructor at MCTC and the U of M.

 

 

"I love the history and philosophy of mathematics," James said, regarding his teaching philosophy. "I try to tie it into as much course material as I can."

 

 

His hobbies and interests include a love for most kinds of music as well as abstract art, synthesizers, board games and bikes.
