Liwen Yu has a Ph.D. in Physical/Computional Chemistry from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, and a B.S. in Applied Chemistry from Fudan University in Shanghai, China.


Liwen started teaching at Inver Hills in 2008. She worked previously as full-time faculty at Mesabi Range Community & Technical College.
