Bio

Signe is now enjoying helping Inver Hills students succeed in their reading and writing after many years of teaching in a variety of settings. These include over twenty years with St. Paul Public Schools where she taught English Language Learners from kindergarten through grade 12. She also teaches English and Norwegian to adults.

Her free time interests include reading, choral singing, and travel, especially volunteer travel. Volunteer travel has taken her to archaeological digs in Arizona and England, whale watching in Norway, and teaching high school students in China and Tanzania.

Signe holds a Master of Arts in Scandinavian from the University of Minnesota, a Bachelor of Arts in Music and German from Augsburg, and a Minnesota teaching license, ESL K-12.
